Jodie Comer, the star of "The Last Duel," will win the Variety Outstanding Achievement Award, which is given out in conjunction with the Edinburgh TV Festival as part of the annual TV Awards of the organization.
Among Comer's many credits are BBC America's "Killing Eve," as well as worldwide blockbusters like "Free Guy" and, most recently, Ridley Scott's "The Last Duel." Variety will interview the actor after he receives the prize as part of a special event.
Variety's foreign editor Manori Ravindran stated, "Jodie Comer has never stopped to amaze me with her incredible flexibility and ability for selecting characters that really go under the skin." The BBC's 'Thirteen' and the Channel 4's 'Help,' as well as one of the most fascinating villains on television in 'Killing Eve,' have established Jodie as a brilliantly unexpected and always electrifying on screen. This is an honor for us to present her with the Outstanding Achievement Award from the Edinburgh TV Festival and Variety."
