Sundance Institute & Adobe Announces 2022 Short Film Challenge

Are you willing to take the challenge? Check out the details below!

The Sundance Institute and Adobe announced on Monday that the 2022 Sundance Ignite x Adobe Short Film Challenge will run from February 14 to March 14 for emerging narrative and documentary filmmakers aged 18 to 25 who want to take their careers to the next level.

Short films can be submitted to the Sundance Institute's digital platform, Sundance Collab, for a year-long Sundance Ignite x Adobe Fellowship, which includes mentorships, resources, and the chance to attend the 2023 Sundance Film Festival as part of the 2022 cohort of 10. Fellows will receive a $2,000 artist stipend as well as a free membership to Adobe Creative Cloud.

To be eligible, short films must be between one and fifteen minutes long. The only criteria for submissions is that they express the filmmaker's point of view as an artist, not a certain genre or issue. As part of the fellowship, applicants must also submit materials to support a new project they plan to work on during the fellowship.

By providing artistic and professional growth that will help them proceed to the next stage of their careers, the Sundance Ignite program recognizes and supports fresh voices and talent. The fellowship begins with a week-long digital lab that introduces filmmakers to the program and the year ahead.
