The Weeknd's 'Dawn FM' Projected To Obtain 150k-170k First Week Sales

The album has had high expectations after reaching a total of 100M streams.

The Weeknd caused a stir when he announced his Dawn FM album. The Weeknd's first-week forecasts are in, with the artist expected to sell between 150,000 and 170,000 equivalent album copies in the first week, according to Hits Daily Double.

 

On its first day, the new album had 60 million streams, and it has already reached the 100 million mark. After Hours, The Weeknd's previous album, sold 444,000 copies in its first week.

The Weeknd continues to immerse fans in the Dawn FM experience over the weekend by releasing his new video for "Sacrifice," a dark and artful display that brings one of the album's strongest offers to our screens.

 

The Weeknd meets his word and releases his new album Dawn FM after a surprise statement to start the new year.

Tyler, the Creator, Lil Wayne, Quincy Jones, Oneohtrix Point Never, and Jim Carrey, among others, appear on the album, which The Weeknd describes as a "sonic adventure."

As part of the launch, The Weeknd was featured in "103.5 Dawn FM," a live broadcast event that streamed exclusively on Amazon Music's Twitch channel and in the Amazon Music app. Exclusive gear for the event is available on Amazon.com/theweeknd and the Amazon Music app, featuring a limited-edition hoodie, t-shirt, and sweatshirt commemorating the live stream. Fans will be able to purchase goods for the next 48 hours.
