Another late-night host has turned into a COVID victim.
Seth Meyers has stated that he has tested positive for the virus and, as a result, Late Night will be canceled for the rest of the week. The vaccinated and boosted former SNL star said that he was OK.
Sterling K. Brown, Chrissy Metz, and Justin Hartley from This Is Us, as well as musical guest David Byrne, were on the NBC show Wednesday night after a winter vacation.
Meyers, on the other hand, will remain isolated until next Monday.
After close contact with Covid, Sara Haines has left 'The View.'
"To see what cool site we will try to pass off as a studio," the host quipped, urging viewers to check in on Monday. Meyers hosted the show from his attic and his in-laws' houses during much of the outbreak.
His NBC late-night coworker Jimmy Fallon confirmed the same day that he tested positive for Covid at the end of December while preparing to appear on Saturday Night Live that he had tested positive for Covid.
According to city data, the Omicron type has hit New York particularly hard, with one out of every three Covid tests coming back positive in the last week.
