Halle Berry Sets Foot on Netflix with Multi-Film Partnership

Netflix and Halle Berry sounds really good together, don't they?

Having just released her directorial debut Bruised on the platform, it seems like Halle Berry is establishing her presence at Netflix. The multi-hyphenate has signed a multi-picture deal with Netflix, in which she will star in and produce feature films for the streaming site.

The news came only a week after Netflix released Berry's ‘Bruised,’ which became the No. 1 film of the week in the United States and the No. 2 picture globally, as per Netflix. According to the studio, the film was streamed for 47.7 million hours in its first five days.

"The Netflix crew has been not only collaborative and innovative but also tremendously passionate and a pleasure to work with," Berry says. I am glad for the collaboration and look forward to sharing future stories with you."

"There are few people who have had as successful a career as Halle Berry," Netflix film president Scott Stuber remarked. "She's an award-winning actress, producer, and brilliant director, as viewers saw this week." We're ecstatic to be in her camp as she delivers strength in front of and behind the camera in Bruised, and we're looking forward to telling more tales with her."

Berry, who is represented by WME, has two upcoming Netflix films: The Mothership, a science fiction picture, and Our Man From Jersey, an action film in which she co-stars with Mark Wahlberg. Her next film will be Roland Emmerich's Moonfall.
