It's not often a star wears a gold breastplate on a red carpet event. Zendaya pulled off this look with the help of her stylist, Law Roach, at the Women in Film Honors at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures in Los Angeles. Zendaya wore a gray Loewe dress with a fancy twist - it is adorned with a gold breastplate. She wore this with dangling gold earrings and gold heels. 

This hip-hugging dress really accentuated her body. Her haircut also made the look very fierce and elegant. 

Roach, Zendaya's stylist, has styled other celebrities like Halsey and Priyanka Chopra. Roach says that his styling is always collaborative. He said that the biggest compliment he received on his work was that all his clients looked like themselves. They all have their own identity. He achieves this through collaborating and listening to his clients. It also involves research. 

Fashion really is a good tool for self-expression and it's nice to see stars like Zendaya going for looks outside of the box. This look, for example, is definitely a show-stopper.
