Signature Entertainment, a UK distributor and producer, has recruited Ben Jacques to the newly created position of Head Of UK Production.

Scott Adkins' action films One Shot and Accident Man 2, which is currently in post-production, were both produced by Jacques.

Jacques will be in charge of creating and delivering Signature's slate of UK productions, reporting to CEO and founder Marc Goldberg. He previously collaborated with the studio on The Hatton Garden Job in 2017 and One Shot, which also starred Ashley Greene and Ryan Philippe. He also worked on films like iBoy, Green Street 3 and Never Back Down: Revolt as a co-producer.

Goldberg said: “I’m delighted Ben has joined us, we have a hunger to continue building on our reputation for producing high quality British content and Ben has demonstrated he can deliver. We want to support a broad range of voices and filmmakers stretching across different budget levels that complement the incredible slate of films we distribute in the UK.”

Jacques added: “Having been working hand in hand with Signature on numerous productions over the last decade, it’s wonderful to be joining the team in-house and continuing their ambitious vision for UK productions. It feels like coming home.”

Signature's previous UK productions include the thriller The Courier starring Olga Kurylenko and Gary Oldman, the actioner Final Score starring Dave Bautista and Pierce Brosnan, and the thriller Bull starring Dave Bautista and Pierce Brosnan. Confession, starring Colm Meaney, Hounded, starring Samantha Bond, and Ed Westwick's WWII thriller Wolves Of War are among the films set for release in 2022.

The company's original shareholders just bought the company back from private equity firm FFI, as we previously reported.
