Three films, Moonshot, Father of the Bride, and the New Line revival of the 1990s comedy House Party, have been set to air on HBO Max.
The service's launch date has been moved from March 24 to March 31 by Moonshot. The film, directed by Christopher Winterbauer, is a sci-fi romantic comedy set in a future where the best of humanity has terraformed and inhabited Mars. In order to be united with their significant others, two extremely different college students join forces and get onboard a space shuttle to the red planet. Cole Sprouse, Lana Condor, Mason Gooding, Emily Rudd, and Zach Braff star in the film, which is written by Max Taxe. Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Jill McElroy, and Jenna Sarkin are the producers. Mike McGrath, Richard Brener, Nikki Ramey, Paulina Sussman, Dana Fox, and Michelle Morrissey all have EPs out there.
This year's Father of the Bride revival, directed by Gaz Alazraki, will premiere on June 16th.
The film stars Andy Garcia, Gloria Estefan, Adria Arjona, Isabela Merced, Diego Boneta, Ana Fabrega, and Chloe Fineman, and tells the narrative of a father grappling with his daughter's imminent wedding through the lens of a large, spreading Cuban-American family's numerous relationships. The screenplay was written by Matt Lopez. Produced by Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner Garcia, Jesse Ehrman, Paul Perez, and Ted Gidlow are the EPs.
On July 28, HBO Max will air a show called House Party. From a script by Jamal Olori and Stephen Glover, Calmatic directs. The cast includes Tosin Cole, Jacob Latimore, Karen Obilom, and DC Young Fly. Through their SpringHill Company, LeBron James and Maverick Carter produce. Spencer Beighley and Jamal Henderson, as well as Reginald Hudlin, Warrington Hudlin, and Gretel Twombly, executive produce with the company.
