Hollywood Sign Changes In Honor of Rams' Super Bowl Win

The iconic Hollywood letters are being altered to "Rams House."

The iconic letters on the Hollywood sign are being changed to say "Rams House" today, in honor of the Rams' Super Bowl LVI triumph against the Cincinnati Bengals last night.

The process to modify the sign began on Monday morning. According to L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, it will be changed until Wednesday. On the webcam of the Hollywood sign, you can see the modifications taking place right now.

Garcetti added, "What a day in Los Angeles, the Rams are Super Bowl Champions. This town has the best teams and fans in the world, and we can’t wait to show off our L.A. pride with a display that only Hollywood could deliver. Go Rams. "

The Rams posted a photo of what the new sign will look like after it is installed.

In 50 years, Los Angeles has only had three major sports teams — the Rams, Dodgers, and Lakers — win championships in their respective domains within 18 months of each other, making it the only city in the world.

A Rams victory parade was rumored to be in the works, maybe as soon as Wednesday, but no details had been finalized or verified. Due to the Covid-19 epidemic, both the Lakers and Dodgers were denied victory parades during their recent championship seasons. After the team's victory on Sunday night, there was some random violence in the area.

“Winning a Super Bowl for Los Angeles and our fans in our home stadium is a dream come true,” Los Angeles Rams Chief Operating Officer Kevin Demoff. “We are grateful to the city, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce and the Hollywood Sign Trust to allow us to recognize this historic championship by turning the iconic Hollywood sign into a celebration of our fans and our community.”
