2022 Glasgow Film Festival Unveils Nominees

The full lineup for the 2022 Glasgow Film Festival, which runs from March 2 to 13, has been revealed.

An exclusive preview screening of the first episode of Season 6 of Starz's popular series Outlander, which is shot in Scotland, is one of the highlights. The sixth season will premiere on March 6th.

There will be a total of ten world premieres, including Christina Ricci's thriller Monstrous; Skint, a series of monologues about living in poverty from a creative team led by Peter Mullan, Jenna Fagan, Cora Bissett, and Derry Girls creator Lisa McGee; Joe Corré, the son of Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood, in Wake up Punk; Scottish war photographer David Pratt in Pictures From Iraq; and Adult Adoption, Karen

Happening, the Venice Golden Lion Award winner; The Outfit, starring Mark Rylance; Antoneta Alamat Kusijanovic's Cannes Camera D'or-winning Murina; and a-ha The Movie, a synth-popumentary, will all have their UK premieres in Glasgow.

Paul Verhoeven's Benedetta and Joachim Trier's The Worst Person In The World both get Scottish premieres.

Armando Iannucci, the director of Death Of Stalin and a slew of other films and TV shows, is among the guests.

Six of the seven films competing for the Audience Award are directed by women, according to the festival. 40 percent of new films screening and six of the seven films competing for the Audience Award are directed by women.
