The 3rd SCL Awards 2022 Releases Nominees

Which among the nominees are you betting for?

Sounds like the Society of Composers Lyricists has its nominees. The third annual SCL Awards, which include the David Raksin Award for Emerging Talent and seven categories, celebrate music in visual media – film, television, streaming, and interactive. The entire list of nominations can be found below.

Darren Criss will host the in-person prize display — Covid-permitting — at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles on Tuesday, February 1.

The Spirit of Collaboration Award will be presented to composer Carter Burwell and filmmakers Joel Coen and Ethan Coen for their 17-film collaboration, as well as a musical tribute performance. Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, and Judith Hill are among the performers.

The Society of Composers Lyricists, which has been around for 76 years, is the primary association for professional composers and lyricists in film, television, video games, and musical theater.
