Drake Eludes $4B Slander Lawsuit Filed By Home Intruder

Drake has earned himself another win in the court.

Drake has added another court triumph to his collection of trophies. According to Billboard, the 6 God was successful in avoiding a $4 billion slander lawsuit filed by a woman who was allegedly detained for breaking into his Los Angeles estate in 2017.

Over the summer, a lady called Mesha Collins filed a defamation action against Drake, and his attorney, Stanton "Larry" Stein, stated that she's the same woman who was jailed for trespassing on Drake's property in April 2017. She was suing Drake for more than $4 billion in damages, claiming he divulged sensitive information about her.

During Friday's (December 17) judgement, Judge Virginia Keeny of the Los Angeles Superior Court sided with Drake, explaining that Drake's posts couldn't be linked to Collins and therefore weren't defamatory.

“Plaintiff Collins has not demonstrated any of defendant Graham’s statements were about plaintiff Collins or that he used her identity, name, or likeness in his Instagram posts or endorsements,” Judge Keeny added. “Even if plaintiff Collins could establish the statements were about her, she has failed to establish that such statements were of a private fact that is offensive and objectionable to the reasonable person.”

Collins was arrested in April 2017 and jailed on $100,000 bail on accusations of home intruder "with purpose to steal the victim's belongings." She was allegedly discovered raiding Drizzy's Los Angeles mansion and cooling herself with a cup of water and soda.
