He previously emceed the 63rd Edition of the Grammy Awards in March

Trevor Noah is set to return as Grammys host. The host and comedian of The Daily Show fame will emcee the 64th Grammy Awards on Monday, January 31, at the Staples Center (it will be renamed as Crypto.com Arena on December 25) in Los Angeles. CBS will air it live and streaming and on demand live viewing will be available on Paramount+.

"Trevor brought his trademark talent and versatility to last March's Grammys, and we can't wait for him to host the event on CBS and Paramount+ again this year," said George Cheeks, the CEO and President of CBS as well as the chief content officer of news and sports at Paramount+. Noah was the host of the 63rd Grammys held in March. It was originally scheduled for January 31, 2021 but was later postponed due to COVID-19 concerns and restrictions.

The CEO of the Recording Academy, Harvey Mason Jr., added that "Trevor was amazing as our host for the 63rd Grammy Awards with praise from the music community, music fans, and critics. We are so excited to welcome Trevor back to the Grammys stage and feel fortunate to once again have him hosting what we believe will be an unforgettable evening."

Musician Jon Batiste led the field of Grammy nominations with 11 nods when it was announced last week. Batiste is also the current bandleader on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert" and landed nominations in the top categories of Record of the Year for "Freedom" and Album of the Year for We Are.
