Justin Timberlake, Usher, BTS and More Pays Tribute To Virgil Abloh

Hollywood stars pay their respects to Louis Vuitton artist director through social media.

The recent passing of pioneering fashion designer, Virgil Abloh, has shocked the whole fashion and entertainment community, and friends and fans took their condolences to the Internet.

Among these popular stars whom Virgil has worked with is Justin Timberlake, who went to his Instagram and wrote, “What can you say when a force like Virgil Abloh is taken too soon? You gave the world so much, in so little time. And created with intensity… knowing better than the rest of us that life is short, but anything is possible. I’m honored to have known you. Thank you for sharing your gift with us.”

Riz Ahmed also took to Twitter his tribute for Abloh and posted, “Rest in Power @virgilabloh … gone too soon but your legacy lives on. Stretched culture changed the game. Thank you for all you did to support so many how you pushed us to reimagine what’s possible ”

Meanwhile, Usher posted a self-reflection and said, “This is that’s precisely what I meant when I said we need to thank those who are here while we have them, it's important … you never know when they’re going to go.”

BTS, who just wore Louis Vuitton suits at the American Music Awards, took to Twitter their condolences for the designer and wrote, “It was an honor to work with you.

On the other hand, April Reign, the founder of #OscarsSoWhite, linked Abloh's death to Chadwick Boseman, who died in 2020 after a long struggle with colon cancer.

“Horrible news about Virgil Abloh. And, of course, thinking about Chad, who was just a few years older,” she wrote in part. “How these Black men suffered in silence. The barriers they broke, despite the toll it was taking. And what it says about US is that they chose to fight silently. F*ck cancer.”

Virgil Abloh died at the age of 41 after battling with a rare, aggressive form of cancer called cardiac angiosarcoma for over 2 years.
