Miley Cyrus Discussed Her Panic Attack With Her Concertgoers

'Feel Less Afraid' was Miley Cyrus' motivation for talking openly about mental health issues

The entire month of October is World Mental Health Awareness, so now is a perfect moment to talk about the mental health challenges many of us, including celebrities, endure. One such celebrity is Miley Cyrus, who recently revealed to a concert audience that she was having a panic attack and hoped that by talking about it, she would feel better. During a recent concert, Miley Cyrus opened up about her personal fears and insecurities on stage in front of an audience.

During a Summerfest set, the singer opened out about her own struggles with mental health. "Last month, at the beginning of the singer's performance, she said, "I simply want to be honest in my feelings, because I think by being honest about that, I'll be less fearful." As with everyone else, I've been locked away and isolated for the previous year and a half. It's surreal to be back somewhere that used to feel like second nature. "Because of how much time I spend locked away at home, you feel like being at home and it doesn't anymore. This is quite drastic."
