In a widely distributed video, Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer may be seen dancing and grinding on a lady at a pub in Ohio (reportedly his own Urban Chophouse in Columbus).
Shad Khan, the team's owner, called him out on social media, writing, "his behaviour last weekend was unacceptable."
According to NBC Sports, Urban, 57, apologized to the players and staff "for becoming a disruption" at a news conference. "It was a bad idea. As a result, I detailed everything that had occurred. And he was proud of it. And, well, it's just plain foolish. I shouldn't have placed myself in that situation in the first place."
After her husband, was caught on tape dancing intimately with another lady, Shelley Meyer expressed her feelings. His acts were deemed "inexcusable" by the team's owner.
Shelley Meyer, his wife, first made a joke about his going out without her. She replied to a photo of her spouse in front of a crystal chandelier at the pub on Friday, Oct. 1.
Shelley, on the other hand, addressed the controversy on Oct. 7, when the video surfaced showing Urban wearing the same pink shirt. Before completely shutting off Twitter, she issued a written statement.
"This will be my last post on Twitter," she began. "Frankly, I don't need the hate, vitriol, slander, trash that will @ me (this has never stopped anyway)."
Shelley then thanked those who had stood by her side through the situation. "To my wonderful followers/friends: THANK YOU. For your love, support, friendship, laughs-I will miss this the most. I love you ALL and wish God's blessings on you. Thank you," she wrote, adding #FaithFamilyFootballFlamingos.
