The hit animated comedy 'Rick and Morty' is currently in its fifth season, and the next one won't be available for some time. Rick and Morty have just returned from a little hiatus. Even though it will be a while until we see our favorite dimension-hopping duo again after Season 5, the showrunners have something special in store for fans in October when Rick and Morty return on October 10.

'The Great Yokai Battle of Akihabara will be the subject of a brand-new Halloween special on Adult Swim on 10 October, and the special will be shown again on Toonami's late-night block on 16 October.

An anime horror short inspired by Japanese culture will air on Halloween, according to reports. "Rick wants to construct an AI toaster; Things take an odd turn when he and Morty must fly to Akihabara for spare components," reads the synopsis from Adult Swim Canada, which teases their next adventure.

Rick and Morty have previously paid respect to anime in between episodes. This is not the first time they've done it.
