Kelly Clarkson Given Full Control Of $10.4 Million Montana Ranch

The 'Breakaway' singer won over distant husband Brandon Blackstock on ranch control.

Kelly Clarkson was granted control of the $10.4 million Montana property where her estranged husband, Brandon Blackstock, has been residing since their divorce.

According to a news magazine source, the judge rejected Brandon Blackstock's stand that the ranch was a joint property of the exes. On the other hand,  the judge affirmed their prenuptial agreement.

According to a report, now owns the property after purchasing it.

"The Court additionally finds that the Montana Ranch and the other two Montana properties are not titled in both of the Parties' names, either as joint tenants with right of survivorship or as tenants by the entireties, as needed by the PMA to generate marital property," the ruling states. "As a result, the Court rejects Respondent's contention that the Montana Ranch and other Montana holdings are marital property held 50/50 by the Parties."

The couple's status looks to be complicated: while Clarkson owns the home, Blackstock is the one who lives there.

Blackstock was using the ranch as his residence and business. This after deciding to make changes to his life and decided to become a full-time rancher. when he separated from the singer.

Clarkson had previously demanded that the ranch be sold due to the "financial burden" of maintaining a property that was solely utilized by her ex-husband. The ranch's upkeep costs $81,000 a month, according to the court.

The judge, however, originally denied her plea to sell the Montana property. Beginning in April 2021, Blackstock was required to pay the high property fees.
