Arnold Schwarzenegger, the actor and former governor of California, was involved in a car accident in Pacific Palisades today, injuring a woman.
Just before 4:35 p.m., the car crash occured. According to Margaret Stewart of the Los Angeles Fire Department, the crash happened near Paul Revere Charter Middle School, at the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Allenford Avenue.
According to Stewart, the woman was carried to the hospital by EMS with minor injuries.
"As West L.A. Area officers arrived at scene, it was determined that four vehicles were involved," police said.
"Neither alcohol or drugs are suspected as a factor in this collision. All parties remained at scene," the LAPD said.
Although the Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department were unable to corroborate Schwarzenegger's involvement in the crash, TMZ published images of the former governor at the scene, claiming he was unharmed.
According to the website, the accident occurred about a mile from Schwarzenegger's home and involved his GMC Yukon SUV, a Toyota Prius, and a Porsche Cayenne. The actor's GMC appears to be parked on top of the Prius in the photographs.
The Los Angeles Fire Department stated that no additional people were hurt in the crash.
The cause of the accident was still being investigated.
