Vera Peltekian, the newly appointed VP and Commissioning Editor of Original Production, France, will collaborate closely with Bobin.

She will serve as a Senior Creative Executive in the development and creative production of French HBO Max originals and will be based in Paris.

Peltekian called the move a "significant milestone in developing our development expertise in France.

“I am honored and delighted to be joining HBO Max, and to work with Vera Peltekian to help develop a slate of French original programming that is bold, talent-driven, distinctive and exciting,” Bobin said in a statement. “As we move forward in France, I look forward to being a part of HBO Max’s continued commitment to the very best stories and storytellers worldwide.”

She formerly worked at public broadcaster Arte France as a Drama Commissioning Editor and Executive Producer on miniseries and single dramas such as Amit Cohen and Ron Leshem's No Man's Land (Arte/Hulu), Arnaud Malherbe's Moloch, and Torleif Hoppe's DNA (TV2 Danmark/Arte).

HBO Max, a streaming service from WarnerMedia, will debut in 21 European countries this year. Deadline announced yesterday that it had hired Baris Zavaroglu of Turkcell's local OTT to supervise the launch in Turkey.
