Check out this year's full selection below!

The 14 films chosen for this year's International Film Festival Rotterdam (IFFRflagship )'s Tiger Competition have been revealed. To see the entire list, scroll down.

With features spanning from Chile to China, Sweden to Israel, and Mexico to India, the selection is often global. Three prizes will be awarded by a jury: the Tiger Award (worth €40,000) and two special jury awards (worth €10,000 each). Zsuzsi Bánkuti, Gust Van den Berghe, Tatiana Leite, Thekla Reuten, and Farid Tabarki are on the jury.

Last year's Tiger competition winner was Indian filmmaker Vinothraj P.S.'s Pebbles, which was a contender for this year's International Oscar race but didn't make the shortlist.

The lineups for the festival's Big Screen Competition, which strives to bridge the gap between mainstream and arthouse cinema, were also announced today. Romania, France, and South Africa are among the titles chosen. In addition, the Tiger Short Competition was announced.

The festival, which runs from January 26 through February 6, was forced to go entirely online this year due to local Covid regulations. All titles will be available digitally for press and industry delegates.

Please Baby Please by Amanda Kramer will open the show. Sayombhu Mukdeeprom, a cinematographer, will receive the honorary Robby Müller Award.

“The announcement of our full festival programme is always an exciting moment and this year is no exception. After the tough decision to move our festival online, we’ve curated a wonderful online selection for our audiences here in the Netherlands, whilst also ensuring that our competition lineups and the filmmakers who trusted us with their premieres will be given a platform within our Press Industry Selection,”  said Vanja Kaludjercic, festival director.  “When cinemas are allowed to open again, we will present competition titles on the big screen to our audiences later in the year.”
