Nominees For The 2022 Independent Spirit Awards Announced

Originally known as FINDIE, the Spirit Awards dedicates its awards to independent filmmakers

The Film Independent has released their list of nominees for the 2022 Independent Spirit Awards.

Traditionally held on the Saturday before the Oscars, the independent film awards ceremony held a virtual event in 2021 that aired three days before the Oscars. Next year, the date for the Spirit Awards will be moved at an earlier date with the ceremony to take place on March 6, at 5 P.M. PT/8 P.M. ET to be aired exclusively on IFC, right around the time frame of the beginning of voting for the final round of Oscars. The even will be held in its traditional Santa Monica beach venue and will be an in-person event. The winners will be selected by Film Independent members.
