PAMELA ABDY, President of MGM Motion Micture Group - With both House of Gucci and Licorice Pizza vying for the Oscar buzz, Daniel Craig's final Bond entry, No Time to Die, also proved to be a massive hit to the masses. With more than a year in her job as the President of MGM Motion Picture Group, and ahead of a pending Amazon acquisition, Abdy fortified the studio with a slate of top talents and filmmakes like Darren Aronofsky, Leonardo DiCaprio, Reese Witherspoon, and Michael B. Jordan.
  2. VICTORIA ALONSO, President of Production for Marvel Studios - Aside from being the overall president of the studio, she also expanded her curriculum vitae by becoming the president of physical and postproduction, visual effects, and animation production for the entire super superhuro studio. Marvel is unstoppable when it comes to the movie industry. WandaVision just earned an Emmy nomination, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki and Hawkeye are also on top of the trending list whenever it airs. Alonso was also praised as a champion of diversity and inclusion at Marvel and the industry in general (Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Eternals).

SARAH AUBREY, Head of Original Content for HBO MAX; AMY GRAVITT, Executive VP and and Head of Comedy for HBO; NINA ROSENSTEIN, Executive VP for HBO Programming; FRANCESCA ORSI, Executive VP and Head of Drama for HBO - The line and walls between HBO and streamer HBO Max are blurring. However, it was a successful year for both entities. Aubrey just wrapped HBO Max's 2021 with Sex and the City follow-up And Just Like That after producing Hacks, Made for Love, and Gossip Girl. Gavitt, meanwhile, is welcoming a new comedy era in HBO with Bridget Everett, Issa Rae, Adam McKay, and Nathan Fielder. Rosenstein recently launched Pause With Sam Jay before paving the way for Game Theory with Bomani Jones and subsequently focusing on the sports world. Lastly, Orsi just picked up six Emmys this year for Mare of Town and currently looking over season two of The White Lotus and Game of Thrones prequel House of the Dragon.
  5. AWKWAFINA, Actor - Awkwafina's career in 2021 ranged from indie films to highly-budgeted studio movies. She starred in both Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and Swan Songs while doing voicework in Raya and the Last Dragon. As the star and executive producer of the show Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens, she also recently put out its second season. She will also be voicing Scuttle the seagull in the live-ish Little Mermaid adaptation as well as star in the Universal movie Renfield alongside Nicolas Cage and Nicholas Hoult.
  6. GINA BALIAN, President of Original Programming for FX Productions, FX, and FXX - Balian is responsible for overseeing and approving FX's original scripts and contents. This year, FX's comedy Reservation Dogs proved to be a hit to the viewers. Her upcoming shows are also gaining the spotlight now. Shogun is finishing production in Vancouver, Fleishman Is In Trouble will be starring Jesse Eisenberg and Lizzy Caplan, and the adaptation of Under the Banner of Heaven will be featuring Andrew Garfield and Daisy Edgar-Jones. All of these shows can be watched in the cable network (and Hulu).
  7. BELA BAJARIA, Head of Global TV for Netflix - Bajaria is the one responsible for transforming Netflix into a powerful global TV network. With 214 million subscribers all over the world, Netflix's shows are taking the center stage. Just look at Squid Game.

LORIE BARTLETT, TONI HOWARD, JESSICA LACY, JANET CAROL NORTON, Agents for ICM - Bartlett's top client, Regina King, just signed on for two new directing gigs and one series partnership with David E. Kelley. Howard, meanwhile, saw actress Nathalie Emmanuel go from Fast Furious supporting to actor to leading Netflix's Army of Thieves. Lacy successfully brokered Apple's Sundance acquisition of CODA for $25 million, making Apple TV in the forefront of the awards conversations. Finally, Norton is the important person in keeping Hollywork work below the line safely as the pandemic wears on.
  9. 9.KRISTINE BELSON, President for Sony Pictures Animation - Belson just sent the Lin-Manuel Miranda-led musical Vivo and Phil Lord Christopher Miller-produced film The Mitchells vs. the Machines to Netflix. She will also be premiering Hotel Transylvania: Transformania on Amazon in January. In late 2022, she with return to theatrical releases for the sequel to the studio's Oscar-winning Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

FRANCES BERWICH, Chair for NBCUniversal Entertainment Networks; SUSAN ROVNER, Chair of Entertainment Content for NBCUniversal Television and Streaming - Berwich has focused on making NBCU boost their original shows such as Young Rock, Chucky, and Girls5eva. Rovner, meanwhile, is just new to her position. With only a year into her responsibility as the Chair of Entertainment content, she reached out to Seth MacFarlane for a TV adaptation of Ted. She also gave updates for Pitch Perfect and Field of Dreams while also leading NBC to a an incredible first-place finish for 2020-21 season among total viewers. 
  11. CAROLYN BLACKWOOD, COO for Warner Bros. Pictures Group - In 2022, Warner Bros. will be releasing big feature films exclusively in cinemas again. The Robin Pattinson-lead The Batman will be the first one to rollout in early March, followed by Aquaman 2 and Baz Luhrmann's biographical drama Elvis. Will Smith's King Richard, however, is considered a contender for the major awards this year despite its moderate success in the box office.

MICHELLE BOHAN, ESTHER CHANG, SHARON JACKSON, ELYSE SCHERZ, Agents for WME - Scherz's clients, Kristen Stewart, Javier Bardem, Rebecca Hall, and Maggie Gylenhaal are all nominated in at least one televised awards season for their major projects (Spencer for Stewart, Being the Ricardos for Bardem, Passing for Hall, and The Lost Daughter for Gylenhaal). Bohan got her client Gal Gadot on Red Notice and Disney's upcoming Snow White. Chang helped on Charlize Theron's first-look TV deal at HBO/HBO Max and also boasts the breakout music story of the year with her client Olivia Rodrigo. Lastly, Jackson put Beanie Feldstein as Monica Lewinsky in Ryan Murphy's latest American Crime Story, Jason Segel in HBO's Lakers project, and Jonah Hill in Adam McKay's Don't Look Up. She also just recently announced that she will be departing WME to manage and produce her own company of agents.

MELISSA BREAUX, ERYN BROWN, SUZAN BYMEL, EVELYN O'NEILL, Managers for Management 360 -Candyman filmmaker Nia Dacosta is the youngest Marvel to date with Brie Larson starrer The Marvels thanks to Breaux's adept management, while Brown is doing pioneering work to increase employment on on-camera opportunities for disabled people as part of the intersectional 1IN4 coalition. Bymel, who also manages Michelle Pfeiffer and Anne Hathway, helped set a company-wide agenda to amplify underrepresented voices. O'Neill is waiting for Greta Gerwig's Barbie and just recently helped Salma Hayek become the first Mexican Lebanese superhero in Marvel's Eternals.

NICOLE BROWN, President for TriStar Pictures - As the first Black woman to run a live-action label at a major studio, Brown's upcoming slate includes the Whitney Houston biopic I Wanna Dance With Somebody, Netflix co-produced Matilda the Musical, the Viola Davis-led The Woman King, and The Nightingale featuring the Fanning sisters Dakota and Elle. She is also spearheading the development of the film adapatation of Bill Condon's Guys and Dolls.
  15. KAREY BURKE, President for 20th Television - Burke's Only Murders in the Building just recently became Hulu's most watched original comedy series. She also helped nail down key Marvel creatives for Disney, persuading WandaVision's Jac Schaeffer to an overall deal and collaborating with Shang-Chi director Destin Daniel Cretton to head American Born Chinese for Disney+. Up next in her resume is ABC's L.A. Law and two more entries in Ryan Murphy's American Story franchise for FX.

JANE CAMPION, Director - The Kiwi director was the first woman to win the Palme d'Or at Cannes and the second to be nominated for a directing Oscar due to her 1993 movie The Piano. In 2021, she made her first film featuring a male protagonist. Netflix's The Power of the Dog featured Benedict Cumberbatch as a cruel cowboy. The movie won the Silver Lion at Venice in September and is also surrounded by the Oscar buzz. She will be launching a film school in New Zealand in the coming months.
  17. NICOLE CLEMENS, President for Paramount TV Studios and Paramount+ Original Scripted Series - Clemens is one of David Nevins' top lieutenants at the ever-evolving ViacomCBS as she just added Paramount+ scripted originals in her field of responsibilities in addition to being the chief of the studio. She both supplies content to third-party buyers, such as Amazon's Jack Ryan and HBO Max's Made for Love, and takes on overseeing the Star Trek franchise at Paramount+. For the streaming service, she just green lighted the TV adaptation of Fatal Attraction, Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, and Happy Face.
  18. MELISSA COBB, VP for Original Animation of Netflix; TRACEY PAKOSTA, Head of Comedy for Netflix - Cobb is in charge of Netflix's kids' and family entertainment. She focuses on the streaming giant's growing original animation output which will include Avatar: The Last Airbender and Ava DuVernay's Wings of Fire. Pakosta leads Netflix's comedy original. She heads the highly successful stand-up comedy series in Netflix.
  19. MICHAELA COEL, Actor and Writer - Her September Emmy speech encouraged artists to try disappearing for a while. From the looks of it, she seemed to be doing that now. Rumors have been swriling around that the actress will be starring on another BBC series from the Chewing Gum director. The production for her movie Black Panter: Wakanda Forever has been put on hold due to co-star Letitia Wright's situation. However, surely, the actress currently has films and series in line for her.
  20. MEGAN COLLIGAN, President for Imax Entertainment and Executive VP for Imax Corporation - Imax is currently thriving in spite of the cinema struggles brought about by the pandemic, and it's all thanks to Colligan's negotiating powers. Her skills in the negotiating tables when talking with studios and filmmakers only boosts the power of the Imax corporation. Filmmakers vye for a place on the Imax marquee. Colligan also works closely with directors who use Imax digital cameras such as Chloe Zao for Eternals and Denis Villenueve for Dune. Cary Fukunaga, the director for No Time To Die, took it a step further and filmed certain three-minute segments with Imax film cameras, lending the film its vintage look.
  21. KALEY CUOCO, Actor and Producer - Cuoco was TV's highest-paid actress thanks to her successful sitcom The Big Bang Theory. In reality, she could have easily peaked it with the CBS series. However, after the series ended in 2019, the actress made a bold move and filmed a string of shrewd movies -- one of which is HBO Max's The Flight Attendant which she not only stars in but she also produces it. After a staggering nine Emmy nominations, the actress will now be filming the series' season two in Iceland. All these after finishing production for her two movies: The Man From Toronto with Woody Harrelson and Kevin Hart, and Meet Cute with Pete Davidson.

MAHA DAKHIL, RACHEL RUSCH, TIFFANY WARD, IDA ZINITI, Agents for CAA - While her client Mindy Kaling is returning to writing feature films by penning Legally Blonde 3, Dakhil immediately got Denis Villenueve's sequel for Dune in the works right after its premier. Rusch's comedian clients includes Sacha Baron Cohen, and Tim Robinson. She also just recently brokered James Corden's new series, Amazon's Mammals, and got Michelle Buteau's gig in Jennifer Lopez movie Marry Me. Ward, meanwhile, has clients on Netflix's Sweet Tooth, Hulu's Only Murders in the Building, and Amazon's The Wheel of Time. Ziniti also paired Ryan Gosling and Margot Robbie as Ken and Barbie with another longtime client of hers, Robbie, who is also producing the Mattel/Warner Bros. movie. She was also involved in Scarlet Johansson's successful Disney movie called Tower of Terror while putting together major movie projects for Julia Roberts.

JULIE DARMODY CHRISTIE SMITH; THERESA KANG-LOWER; NICOE KING STACY O'NEIL, Managers - One of the biggest surprises in Hollywood during the past few years is the ascent of boutique management firms. The women starting those major enterprises are abundant in number. Darmody and Smith launched Rise Management in 2015, with clients such as Chris Pratt, Ego Nwodim, and Lizzy Caplan. Kang-Lowe has A-list clients Alfonso Cuaron, Lena Waithe, and Gillian Flynn in her list and is currently producing a deal at Apple right after stepping away from agenting and her former employer WME during the pandemic last year. King and O'Neil also put up Linden Entertainment on their own in 2020 and boasts of famous clients such as Margaret Qualley, Vin Diesel, Jennifer Garner, and Amy Adams.
  24. TONIA DAVIS MICHELLE OBAMA, Co-Heads for Higher Ground Productions - Former POTUS Barack and former FLOTUS Michelle Obama's production company is making waves for its Netflix deall. Led by film and TV head Tonia Davis, the production company just recently finished producing the Oscar-winning documentary American Factory and is following it up with Fatherhood starring Kevin Hart. They will also be producing the Michael Keaton and Stanley Tucci-led Worth, George C. Wolfe's Bayard Rustin biopic, diocuseries Great National Partks, and the TV series adaptation of the Young Adult thriller Firekeeper's Daughter. Higher Ground Productions also has a deal with Spotify which spawned the popular The Michelle Obama Podcast and the Barack Obama Bruce Springsteen-led Renegades: Born in the USA podcast.
  25. VIOLA DAVIS, Actor and Producer - She just landed her fourth Oscar nomination earlier this year for Ma Rainey's Black Bottom while finishing her popular TV series How To Get Away With Murder. Davis has currently secured major roles in The Suicide Squad and the Sandra Bullock film The Unforgivable. She is also in production on The Woman King directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood which will tell the story of a West African Kingdom, while also filming for Showtime's The First Lady where she will be playing Michelle Obama. The two latter movies are also produced by her own JuVee Productions.
  26. ELLEN DEGENERES, Host and Producer - Her daily TV tenure, Ellen, will finally be finishing up in 2022 after 19 years of dominating the daytime talk landscape. However, the host will not stop and rest on her laurels after that. This spring, she has inked a miltiyear deal with Discovery to develop a slate of natural history specials, series, and documentaries, starting with Endangered set for release on April on Discovery+. Ellen is also the executive produver for Family Game Fight!, Tig Notaro's Drawn comedy special, and Little Ellen, an upcoming HBO Max series which will follow her seven year-old self.
  27. TARA DUNCAN, President for Freeform and Onyx Collective - This powerful woman has drawn top actors such as Insecure's Prentice Penny and Black Panther's Ryan Coogle to Disney's BIPOC-focused Onyx Collective. After officially taking the reins of the company in May, the label has its first series premiering in Hulu in 2022 starting off with the Kerry Washington-produced legal drama Reasonable Doubt and Oprah Winfrey and Tracee Ellis Ross' Hair Love. Duncan is also prioritizing her programs for Freeform such as Grown-ish and the upcoming Single Drunk Female and Phoebe Robinson's Everything's Trash.
  28. CHANNING DUNGEY, Chair for Warner Bros. Television Group - The Warner Bros. Television Group ownershil will chane from ATT to Discovery in 2022. As a result, HBO Max, The CW, and almost every platform you could think of will then be featuring shows from the Warner Bros. Dungey recently dominated the comedy categories at the Emmys with Ted Lasso. Paul W. Downs and Lucia Aniello's Hacks also just signed a deal with the studio and other talents such as Issa Rae, Lena Waithe, and The Batman director Matt Reeves also made pacts with her.
