Travis Scott Sits Down With Charlamagne Tha God And Talks About Astroworld Tragedy

It is the first time Travis Scott addressed the tragedy that happened in his concert in a sit-down interview

Ten (10) people have reportedly died in the Astroworld concert. And now, for the first time ever, rapper Travis Scott sits down with Charlamagne The God in an almost hour-long interview.

In early Nocember, at his Astroworld Festival concert held in Texas, chaos ensued which left ten people dead, and dozens more injured. Scott opens the interview by saying that he has been on an "emotional roller coaser" since it happened. The rapper is still facing backlas and anger up till now for allegedly not doing anything and still continued on doing the concert amidst the tragedy playing out in the crowd. In his first ever interview since the tragedy, Scott is adamant that he had absolutely no idea how bad of a turn things had taken while he was performing onstage.

In his conversation with Charlamagne The God, he shared, "I didn’t know the exact details until [after my set], minutes before the press conference that I figured out exactly what happened. And even at that moment you’re like….what?" He insists that had he known things were going out control in the crowd, he would have stopped the show and prioritize what was happening. "Anytime you hear something like that, you want to stop the show. You want to make sure fans get the proper attention they need. Anytime I could see anything like that, I did [stop]. I stopped it a couple of times to just make sure everybody was okay. I just really go off the fans’ energy as a collective — call and response. I just didn’t hear that [this time].," he explained.
