Chris Cuomo Speaks Out After CNN Suspension

"It's embarassing," Cuomo remarks over his suspension from his long-running CNN show

Several headlines were made after new broke out that renowned journalist got suspended from his long-running CNN show Cuomo Prime TIme. On November 30, CNN suspended Cuomo "indefinitely" over help he gave his brother, former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, on his sexual harassment allegations.

“You know this already. It hurts to even say it. It’s embarrassing,” he stated on his Sirius XM show Let's Get After It. “I understand why some people feel the way they do about what I did. I’ve apologized in the past, I mean it. The last thing I ever wanted to do was compromise any of my colleagues and do anything but help.I know they have a process that they think is important. I respect that process, so I’m not gonna talk about this anymore than that," he says about his involvement in the ordeal.

Earlier this year, his brother Andrew Cuomo was accused by eleven (11) women of sexual harassment during his term as the Governor of New York. In November, the New York attorney general's office released documents that show Chris Cuomo helped and used his media sources to reveal information about his brother's accusers who came forward with the allegations. A CNN spokesperson said, “The documents, which we were not privy to before their public release, raise serious questions. When Chris admitted to us that he had offered advice to his brother’s staff, he broke our rules and we acknowledged that publicly. But we also appreciated the unique position he was in and understood his need to put family first and job second. However, these documents point to a greater level of involvement in his brother’s efforts than we previously knew. As a result, we have suspended Chris indefinitely, pending further evaluation.”
