Jennifer Love Hewitt has decided to take a sabbatical from social media for the time being. The 42-year-old new mom opened out about deleting her social media accounts after the birth of her third child, baby Aidan.
Jennifer took to Instagram Stories over the weekend to inform followers that she will be away from the platform and others while she spends time with her family.
“Today is my first day back in the sauna after being pregnant and having my baby. Two days ago was my first long bath since labor. Some things you can’t do till the doc says so and others you just stop taking time for,” she wrote. “But self-care, moments to breathe and feel yourself again. Even in small ways. So important.”
She went on to say that she'll be "beginning at least a week maybe two away from social media tomorrow." I need to start over. I need to convert my scrolling time into active time. Workouts, breathing exercises, manifesting, and spending time with my children and hubby are all priorities for me. "Everything."
Jennifer stated that social media "makes me feel awful sometimes," making her feel "inadequate." Enough is enough. I can't get my body back quick enough. Enough is enough. "Everything."
"I'm merely sharing this for that one individual, or maybe more, that needs time today." Only for them. And they need to know that's acceptable to accept it. And, in reality, taking that time will improve everything. I guarantee it. "Sending you my love!"
Jennifer gave birth to Aidan in September. She and husband Brian Hallisay also have a daughter, Autumn, and a boy, Atticus.
