Hailie Jade Mathers, the apple of his eye, was only six years old at the time, giving her father and mother—the rapper whose real name is Marshall Mathers and his ex-wife Kim—the last say in who saw her. And, with the exception of a few newborn photos that made the rounds, you didn't see her for most of her life, and she surely didn't attend your burial.

But Hailie is 25 today and has long been the queen of her own image, with 2.2 million Instagram followers to prove it.

What you won't see on her well-curated profile, though, are photos of the influencer and her father together.

Because, as much as Hailie has fueled her father's music over the years, let alone his drive to succeed and give his family everything he didn't have as a kid, they seem to have agreed somewhere along the way that, share what he will in song, the actual time Eminem and his daughter spent together would remain private. Even on special occasions, such as his 49th birthday on October 17.

Their obscurity raised the issue of whether she saw her father at all, to which Hailie answered in her first-ever interview with DailyMail.com in 2018, "Of course, we're extremely close."

Hailie grew up in the Detroit suburbs beneath Eminem's 15,000-square-foot roof with half-sister Whitney, mom Kim's kid from another relationship, and cousin Alaina, the daughter of Kim's twin sister, Dawn. Because, as he later revealed in his 2017 album Revival, he had some regrets about making his daughter such a prominent character in the personal domestic drama that had so often played out in his music from the beginning, including his overtly hostile jabs at Hailie's mother, who was once his high school sweetheart.
