Everyone is talking about Netflix's smash Korean drama Squid Game these days. After a massive amount of word-of-mouth, the very violent and darkly funny comedy has dominated international streaming rankings, and it has now unavoidably made its way to Fortnite.
While official skins and tie-ins may be coming in the future, fans have taken to Creative Mode to recreate some of the show's most memorable scenes. These have been extremely popular in the last, oh, fortnight, and here are three of the greatest.
User overpowered2019 has created a Squid Game-inspired set of minigames with map code 0652-7985-6622. Players can participate in Red Light/Green Light, Tug of War, and Glass Stepping variations. Each of them has been reinvented using Fortnite mechanics and is a lot of fun to play with friends.
chinoob-'Red gaming's and Green Light' at 3847-7224-8449 is another excellent option. This game places the player in the show's bunk bed room before putting them through a red light/green light game. This one is a little more faithful to the show, but it does toss a bone to the players by allowing them to resurrect if they are observed moving and killed.
Finally, though it's clearly inspired by Squid Game, lundleyt's The Lab Games at 9684-5332-0845 isn't strictly based on it. There are four minigames for 16 players in which the participants are gradually eliminated until only one man/woman/banana/fish/Predator remains.
Epic always has their finger on the pulse of what's popular, so I wouldn't be surprised to see a Fortnite x Squid Game crossover in the near future. We'll update you as soon as we have more information.
