In yesterday’s broadcast of Good Morning America, South Korean President and renowned KPOP group BTS were interviewed by GMA’s Juju Chang.
President Moon Jae-in showed the group that he is actually a fan as he showed them some dance moves from their song “Permission to Dance”. The song which BTS performed in the UN General Headquarters was applauded by netizens and global Kpop fans.
According to President Moon, he finds the song and choreography beautiful. He thinks that the message it conveys to the world is that integration can go beyond difference.
When the President showed the dance moves he learned from BTS’Permission to dance, the members responded with two other choreographic moves using sign language.
“This is far more effective than I’ve talked about hundreds of times,” President moon remarked, referring to BTS’ participation in U.N. The group was appointed as “President’s Special Envoy for Future Generations and Culture” earlier this year.
In the interview, BTS reiterated the importance of vaccines to end the COVID-19 pandemic and awareness of climate change.
