The Teen Wolf pack is back and more wolf movies are coming

Details on the upcoming Teen Wolf Movie in collaboration of MTV Entertainment Studios and showrunner Jeff Davis

We've heard your howls for more, and now we're howling back.  This blockbuster fantasy series came to a fitting finish four years ago and with the announcement that MTV Entertainment Studios and writer/producer Jeff Davis would write/direct/executive produce a Teen Wolf live-action reunion movie for Paramount+ as part of a multi-year contract. Teen Wolf fans can rejoice with this upcoming movie reunion!

Here are the details about the film's plot: A terrible evil appears when the moon is full in Beacon Hills. We may expect the return of all the night's shapeshifters, as the wolves are howling once more, asking for their re-emergence. Suppose they're going to defeat the most powerful and deadly foe they've ever faced.

In that case, they'll need a leader like werewolf Scott McCall, who's no longer an adolescent but is still the Alpha A  book-to-film adaptation by Edo Van Belkom's Wolf Pack is in the works too. It centers on a teenage boy and girl who are permanently transformed after a California wildfire wakes a terrible supernatural creature and forces it into a traffic jam beneath the blazing hills.

They are drawn to one other and two other teens who were adopted by a park ranger 16 years ago following a strange wildfire, even though they were injured in the ensuing carnage. As the full moon approaches, the four adolescents join forces to discover the mystery of the werewolf bite and blood that has linked them all together.

Æone Flux, one of the first anime female superheroes, returns in a new live-action series based on her reimagining. It takes place in a near-future post-apocalyptic world when countries are no longer recognized, and citizens are forced to live in feudal city-states. Every person is armed, including children who have been converted into murderous soldiers. 'ON FLUX,' a young lady who takes up arms against her Orwellian government, is hailed as a national hero. Gale Anne Hurd is Valhalla Entertainment's Executive Producer.

In addition, ViacomCBS's streaming service will provide new titles. President CEO Chris McCarthy oversees these initiatives, aiming to optimize IP and existing brands while simultaneously generating new IP that appeals to MTVE's worldwide audience. Teen Wolf's full 100-episode back catalog will be accessible to stream on Paramount+ in major international countries starting in December 2021.

For the streaming service, Davis will also serve as showrunner on a new series, based on Edo Van Belkom's "Wolf Pack" books, in addition to his work on the "Teen Wolf" film. Jeff Davis will serve as showrunner and pilot director for the previously announced live-action version of "Aeon Flux," which has been set up at Paramount Plus after first airing on MTV.

While Tyler Hoechlin and Dylan O'Brien played McCall and Crystal Reed and Tyler Hoechlin and Holland Roden and Colton Haynes appeared in the first series with Tyler Posey as McCall, the cast also included Dylan O'Brien and Ard Cho. The relaunch is intended to reunite the original cast.

Two months before the season finale aired, TVLine interviewed Jeff Davis about the relaunch speculations at San Diego Comic-Con. When we first met him, he informed us the following: "With MTV, I've had [discussions]. Now Chris McCarthy is in charge, and he's brilliant and has a clear strategy for reestablishing the MTV brand. Since he's a huge fan of Teen Wolf, he and I have discussed the possibility of producing a podcast based on the show, similar to S-Town or Serial. Keep the franchise running is how we do it. It's simply speculating about a relaunch right now. However, if they're on board, it appears we could do some re-invention."

Also, in July 2017, McCarthy spoke to THR and said the following "We've been discussing with Jeff how to keep the franchise going. You can witness a new social class emerge as a result of media evolution in only a few years." Four years later and Teen Wolf is coming back to our screens, and thank goodness for all the great minds who are making it happen.

TV broadcast six seasons of Teen Wolf (2011-2017). The Teen Wolf Movie, produced by Paramount Pictures, will air on Paramount Home Media in 2022. This means that our howling favorites are returning to ensnare you once more.
