Bridgerton Season 2 is hotter than ever

Here's another season of Bridgerton you should watch out for

Can’t get enough of the Netflix series Bridgerton? Then you have a reason to celebrate. Just over a month after the series premiered on Netflix, the streaming giant announced that it will continue producing Bridgerton for another season. Though the release date is yet unknown, a teaser video concludes with a glimpse of Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey), indicating that the next episode would center on him.

As Phoebe Dynevor (Daphne Bridgerton) noted, "if we're keeping to the books," it's now Anthony's time," she said to BAZAAR.com. The next thing that happens intrigues me. Also, because Anthony was so engaged in Daphne's love life, I'd want to see her becoming more involved in Anthony's as well.

It's Anthony's adventure in the second season, she told Deadline. "I have no idea what they're going to do with the second season," she said.

Daphne and her husband Simon (Regé-Jean Page) welcome a kid at the conclusion of Episode 8, and a bee arrives in their window as a clue in the Season 1 finale. A allusion to Edmund Bridgerton, who died from an allergic reaction to a bee's sting, is well known among Quinn's audience. Edmund was survived by his wife Violet and their four children. Esquire noted that the prologue of the second Bridgerton novel reveals the account of his death. After his father's unexpected death, Anthony develops a phobia of bees.

As of Wednesday, January 21, Netflix has announced that Bridgerton season two will air in the spring of 2019. "Get yourself ready for another round of socializing. According to a recent tweet from the show's account, "Bridgerton is back for season two, only on Netflix." It's also worth noting that Bridgerton was picked up for a third and fourth season!

Showrunner Chris Van Dusen has material ready to be adapted for the Netflix series, which is based on the first of eight best-selling books by Julia Quinn. The first season was based on Quinn's debut novel, The Duke and I, and centers on the relationship between Simon Basset and Daphne Bridgerton, the eldest of the Bridgerton siblings. The Viscount Who Loved Me, on the other hand, focuses on Anthony Bridgerton, London's most eligible bachelor, and his romance with Edwina. The only issue here is Edwina's sister Kate, who is known as "the most meddlesome woman ever to grace a London ballroom." For Julie Andrews' Lady Whistledown, the Society Papers will most doubt be returning for more mischief in the future. Anthony's actor Jonathan Bailey has promised some interesting season two character additions and easter eggs to look out for.

"Well, I feel that the Bridgerton world's campy, luxurious spectacle is just going to grow more obvious in the nicest manner imaginable," he told Vogue. "It's insane and amazing all at the same time. Not only are we going to learn more about Anthony, but we're going to meet a lot of interesting new people as well. Shonda [Rhimes] and Chris [Van Dusen] have created a vast universe that will continue to grow and develop in a subversive manner.

In terms of new content, I believe there will be more of what everyone already enjoys... There are several Easter eggs hidden throughout the story... I'll add this: beware of bees!" he warned.

In the last week of September, Netflix published the first season two teaser trailer, and boy, is it a tease! Here we see star Anthony debating with newcomer Kate about his "many needs for a bride" in the film released today.

Unsure Anthony asks, "You have a problem with my requirements?" ...I take issue with any male who considers women just as chattels and breeding material, in Kate's opinion,

Kate then adds, "When you discover this paragon of virtue, what makes you think she'll accept your suit? Does a pretty smile have all it takes to win the hearts of London's young ladies? Your moral integrity is just as weak as your equestrian skills. You have my word that I will say goodnight to you.

Kate Sheffield is the older sister of Edwina, the lady Anthony (Jonathan Bailey) is slated to marry in The Viscount Who Loved Me. Readers like the narrative twist in which she thinks Mr. Bridgerton isn't good enough for her younger sister.

Simone Ashley, best known for her part in the Netflix series Sex Education, was revealed as Kate's replacement on February 15th. Season 2's new main pair, Anthony and Kate, were featured in a new photo released by People magazine on May 1.

What can the onlookers hope to see when these two meet up? The Tudum fan gathering on September 25 included "a lot of fighting," as Ashley put it.

As per Deadline, Chris Van Dusen discussed Kate and Anthony's connection during an appearance on the Today Show in January. He described it as "sweeping and moving," which is what fans of the show's first season have come to expect from it. We left [Anthony] at the conclusion of season one at a crossroads, so I'm excited to jump in and see how he does on the marriage market." he continued.

"The most meddling lady to ever grace a London ballroom," Julia Quinn's The Viscount Who Loved Me introduces Kate as "passionate schemer."

A shot from the first episode of the second season served as Netflix's introduction to Kate and her family, which included her mother Mary and sister Edwina. Lady Danbury welcomes the new members of the aristocracy to a party in the photograph.

This is something the actors have been clamoring for quite some time. I feel like we've built this vast universe and I'd want to explore more of it," says Nicola Coughlan, who portrays Penelope Featherington in the show.

Also, "I'd like going along on that voyage, to observe the progress she's made. I'd want to return since I believe we've only scratched the surface of what this place has to offer. And because this program has such a large ensemble, there are a greater number of characters."

Netflix has revealed that Page, who played Simon Bassett, Duke of Hastings, won fans' hearts in Season 1, will not return for Season 2.

After Regé-Jean Page left his role as Duke of Hastings, the show said goodbye to "Dear Readers" and thanked everyone who saw him portray the character. Dynevor, on the other hand, will remain Daphne.

As for Page's leaving, he had this to say about it on Twitter: "Pleasure and privilege! The affection is real and will only increase as long as I'm a part of the family - on and off-screen, cast and crew, and the wonderful fans."

Finally, we'll get to meet the patriarch of the Bridgerton family! Edmund, the father of the eight Bridgerton children, will be played by Rupert Evans (Charmed, The Man in the High Castle), who was announced as a series regular on May 28. Evans, Violet's late wife, was already deceased when season one began, so we may expect to encounter her in flashbacks or dreams. I don't see this series going in a ghostly path, but we'll see what happens.)

There are eight flawless children born to the couple because of the character's love match with Violet Bridgerton, according to Netflix. His patience and kindness have made him a wonderful father, and he takes particular delight in guiding his eldest son Anthony through life." I'm so excited to finally meet him!

The second season of the show, on the other hand, will remain unavailable for some time. As with The Crown, viewers of Bridgerton will have to wait until at least 2022 for fresh episodes of Netflix's period drama to air.
